📖 Collaborative learning and sustainable items

Repair Café Madrid is a cooperative space where residents gather to fix small household appliances. Attendees acquire hands-on repair skills that help keep devices in use longer, curbing trash and reducing carbon emissions tied to manufacturing new products.

Beyond repairing items, the group organizes creative workshops such as "Electroganchillo", where participants learn to knit with scrap cables and recycled parts to craft necklaces, rings, and earrings.

🌐 A global network at Matadero Medialab

The initiative forms part of the global Repair Café organization, a network dedicated to sharing repair guides and practical tools to support eco-conscious local groups worldwide.

Sessions are held inside the Terrario hall at Medialab Matadero, nurturing neighborhood cooperation and environmental responsibility.

📖 The 500-piece challenge

The competition is held in pairs. Competing teams will have a maximum time limit of two hours to assemble a 500-piece puzzle by the Educa brand.

All registered participants will receive a gift and can take home the puzzle they worked on during the contest.

The top three pairs will receive trophies and prize puzzles: two 5,000-piece puzzles for first place, two 2,000-piece puzzles for second place, and two 1,000-piece puzzles for third place.

🥁 Meeting in El Berrueco

The municipal sports center in this Sierra Norte village becomes the focal point for this fun event, encouraging camaraderie and a shared passion for puzzle solving.

These ghosts are not scary: they are circus artists, musicians, acrobats and tightrope walkers who left their mark under the ring lights and who come back now and then to tell their stories.

The workshop plays with light and shadow: participants experiment with their bodies and with objects to create characters and scenes, build mysterious silhouettes and invent new worlds. A plan to imagine, create and play as a family.

🎪 Madrid's circus

The Teatro Circo Price has been Madrid's great circus stage since the 19th century and today runs shows, galas and workshops for all ages at its Ronda de Atocha venue.

ℹ️ Good to know: the workshop may include intense or strobe lighting. Places are limited, so book in advance on the Price website. The activity is in Spanish.

31 October: family haunted house at the Albergue Fuente Nueva and another for secondary school students at the Casa de la Juventud. At 7 pm, Halloween costumed tour by the Tourist Office with the Deverde association.

1 November, All Saints' Day: another costumed tour.
