📖 The great predators of the past

The exhibition invites visitors to explore the anatomy, hunting techniques, and ecosystems of sabre-toothed predators, extraordinary creatures that coexisted with early hominin ancestors before dying out just over 10,000 years ago.

Through key fossils, the display shows how these cats wielded their iconic curved canines to take down prey, revealing the fascinations and challenges faced by modern palaeontologists when interpreting their biomechanical adaptations.
