Mi madre y el dinero stems from the necessity to build a bridge back to the mother's home, following a ten-year separation driven by homophobia, violence, and poverty experienced in Campeche.

The production attempts to establish a new relationship mediated through work and theatrical fiction. Together on stage, they examine their shared economic journey and complex relationship with money, rehearsing and recreating the family businesses that kept them united and shaped their household.
