🖼️ The exhibition

«Fardo» draws on the textile bundles of the pre-Columbian Paracas culture, the large cloth wrappings used for the dead, and transfers that act of wrapping and protecting to the 1887 building.

Canepa's work brings together art, sociology, history and anthropology to explore how systems of organisation, visual or symbolic, shape the way we see the world.

🏛️ Planning your visit

The Palacio de Cristal is closed for renovation works and the piece covers its façade, so no ticket or booking is needed. Nearby, the Palacio de Velázquez is open, also free.

ℹ️ Good to know: Parts of the Retiro may close on windy days or during weather alerts.

✨ The Palacio de Cristal, wrapped like a Paracas treasure.
