📖 A propped dance floor and historical memory
The site-specific exhibition Bailad, bailad, malditos features more than a hundred construction props and around twenty screens inside Nave 0, the municipal slaughterhouse's former cold store.
The artist takes the visible scars of this burnt space and the memory of its past violence as a starting point. Operating as a sculptural ensemble, the installation invites the audience directly onto the dance floor.
🎨 Carlos Aires and the 'Abierto x Obras' programme
Through this custom intervention designed for Matadero Madrid, Carlos Aires presents a physical and emotional journey curated by Jose Luis Romo.
