Museo del Prado (Madrid)

Paseo del Prado, s/n, 28014 Madrid

Directions

The Prado's finest classical sculptures did not come straight from Greece or Rome: they were gathered in Rome by Queen Christina of Sweden, who gave up her throne to live surrounded by art. Elisabeth Farnese later bought them and they joined the Spanish royal collections. 🏛️🗿

The museum gives them a new display in Room 74.
