📖 Optical illusions and physical metamorphosis
Inspired by atmospheric mirages and the fata morgana phenomenon, this piece explores the reflection of light and the perpetual transformation of matter. The dancers traverse a metaphorical desert where human bodies confront different materials and shifting atmospheres.
Through an immersive staging, the performance fluctuates between barren landscapes and intense tropical colours, offering a reflection on human essence beyond appearances.
🎭 Artists in continuous experimentation
This production marks the fourth collaboration between Damien Jalet and Kohei Nawa, following pieces such as VESSEL, Mist, and Planet[wanderer]. Jalet, associate artist at the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, brings his visceral and striking movement style to the stage.
Sculptor Kohei Nawa, founder of the Sandwich art platform, introduces his dynamic research into the physical properties of materials, technology, and artistic sensibility.
✨ A captivating stage experience where the human body and sculpted matter challenge our perception.
