📖 Untamed painting between Baroque mastery and Surrealism

Juana González's approach engages with the aesthetic worlds of Neo Rauch and the neo-expressionism of Immendorff, interwoven with a deep reverence for Baroque masters. Echoes of Velázquez, Titian, Goya, Rubens, and El Greco coexist on her canvases with the surrealist edge of Luis Buñuel and the uncanny mood of David Lynch.

Uncertainty serves as a core driving force in her art: an irrational and subconscious ground that avoids fixed boundaries, leaving the door wide open for interpretation and evoking cathartic, enigmatic imagery.
