📖 An intergenerational celebration of timeless anthems
Thirty years after forming in 1996, the group from San Sebastián embarks on this tour to celebrate their musical legacy across multiple generations. The show also pays tribute to their landmark album El viaje de Copperpot, featuring iconic songs such as Cuídate, La Playa, Puedes contar conmigo, Rosas, and 20 de enero.
For this tour, the band performs as a quartet featuring singer Amaia Montero, keyboardist Xabi San Martín, bassist Álvaro Fuentes, and drummer Haritz Garde. Founding guitarist and main songwriter Pablo Benegas will not be performing on stage during the tour, though he remains an active member of the group.
🌟 History and trajectory of the iconic pop group
Since their 1998 debut album Dile al sol and early hits such as El 28, Soñaré, and Cuéntame al oído, La Oreja de Van Gogh achieved continuous number-one records across Spain and Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina. Their achievements include prestigious accolades such as an MTV Europe Music Award and a Latin Grammy Award.
Amaia Montero departed in 2007 after eleven years, followed by Leire Martínez fronting the group for sixteen years until late 2024. This special live return reunites the band with Montero at the Movistar Arena for a landmark performance in Spanish pop music history.
