📖 Fire, ritual, and passion on Midsummer Eve
Everything that unfolds on Midsummer Eve is rooted in an immense exorcism of fire and water, designed to banish evil spirits, purify the world, and protect future harvests. It represents the night Europe celebrated the victory of light over darkness through bonfires across mountains, crossroads, and streets.
Regarded as the night of love, mystery, and divination, the veil of fate is torn as the hidden forces of the earth awaken and renew everything. Amidst these ancient rituals, the intense passions and conflicts of Strindberg's characters come alive.
