📖 Sacred liturgy meets deep flamenco
Inspired by the revered Flamenco Mass tradition crafted by Enrique Morente, with whom Niño Josele collaborated closely over many years, this production takes up that musical legacy and reimagines it with fresh contemporary artistry.
The liturgical programme unfolds across diverse flamenco palos and musical sections: from the opening procession ("Procession Ceremony Departure") and the Kyrie ("Kyrie Elyson") to the Gloria ("Gloria al niño"), the Liturgy of the Word ("Credo" and "Tangos Los Saeteros"), the Eucharist ("Aleluya"), a Sanctus by bulerías, Communion by granaína, a recessional sequence featuring "Los Campanilleros" and "Su carita divina", culminating in a closing saeta.
🎶 Niño Josele
Juan José Heredia Heredia, known as Niño Josele (Almería, 1974), comes from a long line of flamenco musicians. Celebrated for his crossover collaborations with masters such as Chick Corea and Rubén Blades on projects like Galaxias, the Grammy-nominated guitarist stands at the forefront of contemporary flamenco.
✨ An intense evening bringing together spirituality, heritage, and musical mastery at CondeDuque.
